{"id":92,"date":"2020-10-14T13:49:11","date_gmt":"2020-10-14T12:49:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.knob.blog\/?p=92"},"modified":"2020-12-09T11:58:52","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T11:58:52","slug":"one-week-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.knob.blog\/penile-cancer-journal\/one-week-on\/","title":{"rendered":"One week on&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>7th December, Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-story-so-far\">The story so far<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">Let\u2019s start with some good news.&nbsp; Following my surgery, the wounds are healing beautifully, and importantly, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knob.blog\/penile-cancer-information\/adult-circumcision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">my cock is magnificent<\/a>.  (I might be paraphrasing slightly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">The prof is undoubtedly happy with my progress.  He also spoke about parading me in front of his urology mates to show what a perfect job looks like.&nbsp; I might let him.  You know, if I can overcome the shyness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">I\u2019m told it\u2019s unlikely that any further work is required on little Johnny, but I&#8217;m obviously still nervous.  All the cancerous, and pre cancerous cells were removed with a half millimetre margin of error.  Clearly, that could have been a very different situation if I&#8217;d even had to wait another week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-plan\">The plan<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">The story for the lymph nodes is unchanged. I\u2019m going to need some robotic surgery to have a few more nodes out and some other areas biopsied.&nbsp; Nuclear medicine is pencilled in for January.   That&#8217;s an operation under general anaesthetic to do some tests on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knob.blog\/penile-cancer-journal\/nuclear-medicine-sentinel-nodes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sentinel lymph nodes<\/a> &#8211; then see what comes next, robotic surgery after that in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">Radiotherapy is a certainty.  Despite the success of the surgery, it&#8217;s unavoidable, because of the extracapsular spread of the cancer in my groin. I also have Chemotherapy to consider. The odds for that are only 1 in 5 at the moment, but it&#8217;s definitely at the back of my mind.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">I expect to be doing my radiotherapy at Newmarket or Elstree, maybe Mount Vernon.  I\u2019ll worry about that in the new year, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">I\u2019m going to need to keep my drain in for at least a couple more weeks while things correct themselves.  This is undoubtedly the most irritating thing about treatment so far!  I should have a relatively normal couple of weeks over Christmas though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-let-s-start-with-some-good-news-apparently-my-wounds-from-surgery-are-healing-beautifully-and-the-cock-is-magnificent-might-be-paraphrasing-slightly\">I\u2019m back next week for another follow up, and until then I\u2019ll be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.knob.blog\/penile-cancer-information\/adult-circumcision\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">slathering my magnificent new cock in Vaseline<\/a>.&nbsp; That\u2019s a medical requirement, it\u2019s not my thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>7th December, Home.
